Time Is Tissue: Disrupting Biofilm to Prevent Amputation
Matthew F. Myntti, PhD, and Dr. Matthew Regulski explore the role of biofilm in stalled wound healing and how disrupting it early can protect tissue and help prevent amputation. A science-forward look at anti-biofilm strategy in limb preservation.
What you will take away
See why wounds stall
Understand how biofilm forms and keeps chronic wounds from progressing to healing.
Compare anti-biofilm strategies
Review evidence-based approaches to disrupting biofilm in the wound bed.
Act while there is tissue to save
Learn why early, decisive intervention is central to preventing amputation.
