How We Help

Provider Education

Early diagnosis and treatment can save legs and lives and that is our goal. Through local screening events, networking conferences and spontaneous teaching opportunities stimulated by our supporters, we bring the issues of Peripheral Arterial Disease, Critical Limb Ischemia, and preventable lower extremity amputations to light.

Harold L. Johnson Memorial Scholarship

The Harold L. Johnson Memorial Scholarship is awarded by the American Board of Wound Management Foundation and is funded by The Save A Leg, Save A Life Foundation. The scholarship is for health care providers needing financial support to earn wound certification.

Patient Assistance Program

The Save A Leg, Save A Life Foundation is committed to helping those in need with items such as diabetic shoes, dressing supplies, knee walkers, or other items used to help wound healing and prevent lower extremity amputation. We are grateful to our program sponsors.

Community Screening

One way we fulfill our mission is by hosting special events throughout the United States. These free events feature health screenings and education for at-risk communities, plus workshops, networking, and roundtables for local healthcare providers. Help us carry out the SALSAL mission.
